Project Overview

Join a growing community of professionals advancing the next wave of AI. As an AI Trainer, you'll play a hands-on role by analyzing and providing feedback on data to improve LLM performance, helping ensure that the next generation of AI technology is accurate and trustworthy.

We are seeking experienced government and public sector professionals to work as project consultants in our AI Labor Marketplace. This is not a full-time employment position. You will be engaged as an expert project consultant on a contract basis.

Location: U.S.-based experts only

Engagement: Part-time, 1099 project-based expert evaluation work

Project Summary

This project supports the development of an AI benchmarking framework designed to measure how effectively artificial intelligence models perform real-world government and public service knowledge work.

Contributors will help create realistic professional scenarios, develop evaluation criteria, and assess AI-generated outputs across a range of government operations and public administration functions. The work focuses on translating complex day-to-day professional work into clear, realistic, and measurable tasks that can be used to evaluate AI performance.

Domains may include compliance and regulatory activities, public administration, community and social services, recreation and public programs, public safety supervision, and operational management within government organizations.

The goal is to establish rigorous, expert-driven standards for measuring AI performance on complex public-sector workflows and decision-support activities.

Consultant Engagement Terms

This is a project-based consultant role. Consultants will be paid on a per-project basis; hourly rates are estimates based on anticipated completion time. Consultants control their own schedule, provide their own tools, and may simultaneously provide services to other vendors or employers (subject to those vendors' allowances).

Responsibilities:

Contributors will:

• Translate real-world government and public-sector work into realistic AI evaluation scenarios
• Create benchmark prompts, tasks, and expert reference responses
• Develop scoring rubrics that define high-quality professional work
• Evaluate AI-generated analyses, recommendations, plans, communications, and operational outputs
• Assess accuracy, completeness, reasoning quality, and practical applicability of AI-generated work
• Identify missing information, unsupported conclusions, and potential risks
• Provide written rationale supporting evaluation and scoring decisions
• Participate in calibration and quality review activities when required

Qualifications:

• U.S.-based
• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in government, public administration, public service, or related fields

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Compliance and regulatory operations
• Administrative services and government operations
• Social services, child and family services, or community programs
• Recreation and public program management
• Public safety supervision or law enforcement operations
• Municipal, county, state, or federal government administration
• Ability to translate complex professional work into structured tasks and workflows
• Strong written communication and analytical reasoning skills
• Experience reviewing policies, procedures, reports, case materials, operational records, or administrative documentation
• Ability to make independent professional judgments and evaluate the quality of written work
