Job Description:

ABOUT ORCHESTRA

Orchestra is a new communications company that helps brands and organizations reach audiences in a more effective and precise way. Its growing team of 700+ storytellers and strategists is shaping what's next in communications, with experience that spans consumer, technology, climate and sustainability, education, healthcare, philanthropy, real estate, travel, hospitality and arts and culture, to name a few. Since 2022, it’s acquired nine firms, including: BerlinRosen, Civitas Public Affairs Group, Derris, Glen Echo Group, Inkhouse, M18, Message Lab, Onward and Small Girls PR. It also launched Brightmode, a talent acquisition firm for communications professionals.

People of all backgrounds and abilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Orchestra is committed to building and maintaining a diverse staff, and recognizes that its continued success depends on hiring and retaining high-quality creative professionals with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Opportunities for advancement exist, and we are committed to helping all staff develop and grow.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We’re seeking a Director, Influencer Marketing to lead strategic creator, influencer and celebrity programs for technology and corporate brands spanning hardware, software, enterprise, consumer tech and B2B ecosystems. This role is designed for a modern influence strategist who understands how credibility, authority and cultural relevance drive measurable business impact — from brand perception and product adoption to pipeline acceleration and executive visibility.

You will architect programs that translate complex products and corporate narratives into compelling, creator-led storytelling. You know how influence works differently in tech — where trust, expertise, community and long buying cycles matter — and you understand what truly moves the needle across awareness, consideration, demand generation and reputation.

This role requires both big-picture strategic thinking and hands-on tactical execution. You will collaborate across PR, digital, content, paid media and executive communications teams to build integrated programs that connect online engagement with real-world business outcomes.

Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. Orchestra staff are in office 3 days per week.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As the Director, Influencer Marketing you will…

  • Develop and lead integrated creator, influencer and celebrity strategies for technology and corporate brands across hardware, software, SaaS and enterprise categories

  • Design programs that align with complex marketing funnels — from thought leadership and brand positioning to product launches, demand generation and customer advocacy

  • Translate technical or highly specialized subject matter into creator-led storytelling that drives credibility, engagement and action

  • Blend organic and paid strategies to maximize reach, optimize performance and drive measurable business results including engagement, lead generation and conversion

  • Oversee influencer identification, casting, vetting, negotiation, contracting and content management across campaigns

  • Build programs that leverage industry experts, executives, developers, founders, analysts and subject-matter creators — not just lifestyle influencers

  • Develop client-facing strategic plans, measurement frameworks and performance reports; present results with clear business insights and optimization recommendations

  • Collaborate with PR, integrated marketing, paid media, social and executive communications teams to ensure influencer activity supports broader corporate and product narratives

  • Connect digital storytelling to real-world impact, including events, product demos, conferences, community building and sales enablement efforts

  • Stay ahead of emerging platforms, creator business models, AI tools and evolving digital behaviors that impact the tech and corporate influence landscape

  • Foster strong, trusted relationships between clients, creators, platform partners and industry communities

  • Support new business development by contributing to strategy, scopes of work and proposal development for tech and corporate prospects

  • Serve as a strategic partner to clients, advising on how influence drives reputation, relevance and revenue in competitive markets

Essential skills:

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in influencer marketing, social media, PR or integrated communications, with a demonstrated track record of success across technology, corporate, hardware, software and/or B2B brands

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communications and creator programs that drive tangible business results — from brand perception and thought leadership to engagement, lead generation and product adoption

  • Strong understanding of the evolving social, digital and activation landscape, including how advocacy strategies differ across B2B and B2C platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, podcasts, Discord, industry communities, events, etc.)

  • Deep knowledge of emerging trends, creators, industry experts, executives and talent shaping technology and business conversations — with a strong pulse on cultural, innovation and industry shifts

  • Expertise in blending organic storytelling with paid amplification strategies to maximize reach, optimize performance and support measurable business objectives

  • Ability to balance detail-oriented execution with big-picture strategic thinking, effectively managing multiple clients, complex campaigns and deadlines

  • Experience managing and mentoring junior team members while confidently managing up to senior executives and client stakeholders

  • Desire to constantly innovate and test new things, not just follow a pre-established playbook

  •
