About the Role: Co-Teacher
As a Co-Teacher, you will work alongside Lead Teachers to provide daily, high-impact support to students and the broader learning environment. You'll play a vital role in the delivery of lessons, provide small group supervision, assist with content development, and ensure every learner is supported and seen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised and group support during live online classes (ages 4-12).
- Assist in designing and refining interactive, thematic learning units and resources.
- Supervise small student groups as directed, supporting social-emotional and academic development.
- Offer timely, constructive feedback to students and families.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and colleagues to foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom culture.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Use student feedback and data to inform adaptive support strategies.
- Uphold strong professional ethics and help shape a safe, inclusive digital school.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Education & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in schools, tutoring, early years settings, or youth programs is essential.
- Bonus points for additional educational certifications or experience with diverse learners.
Teaching Support Experience
- You've worked with children aged 4-12, ideally in structured learning settings.
- You understand how to motivate and connect with young learners in a remote environment.
- You've worked with international or multicultural groups and are comfortable navigating diverse perspectives.
Tech & Digital Fluency
- You are comfortable using online learning platforms, digital tools, and virtual classroom software.
- Platforms like Google Classroom, SeeSaw, Zoom, or other EdTech tools are familiar to you-or you're excited to learn quickly.
- You're eager to explore how technology can enhance personalised learning.
Who the Role Isn't Right For
This role is not suited to:
- Candidates with no experience working directly with children.
- Those who have only worked as online English tutors, without broader classroom support experience.
- Educators resistant to using or learning digital tools in a classroom context.
- People who prefer traditional, rigid classroom environments over flexible, evolving ones.
