Guidehouse seeks a dynamic and experienced Associate Director Acquisition Specialist to join our Federal Civilian Account team. In this role, you will support development of all acquisition planning documents, act as a strategic advisor and facilitator, and be responsible for supporting federal acquisitions. You will also help to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment during the acquisition process. An acquisition specialist works closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and legal teams to support activities leading to contract award. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acquisitions, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate acquisition processes. Specific experience at the Federal Aviation Administration is preferred but not required.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison between contracting and program office.
  • Develop acquisition packages leading to contract award.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to coordinate and streamline the acquisition process.
  • Coordinate and manage the exchange of information, documents, and data.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the acquisition process.
  • Assist in the development of acquisition strategies.
  • Monitor and track the progress of ongoing acquisitions, providing regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging opportunities for potential acquisitions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Communicate with all levels of an organization and prepare engaging and dynamic briefings for senior executives.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews on written work products.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of Guidehouse acquisition methodologies and tools.
  • Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 8+ years of experience supporting federal clients or deep consulting experience;

  • Minimum 5 of the 8+ years supporting federal acquisition projects.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

  • Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen.

  • Strong working knowledge of the federal acquisition process.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to navigate complex business environments and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.

  • Ability to write and edit reports, create briefings for senior executives, research and write articles, and customize content for various audiences.

  • Proficient use of the suite of Microsoft Office products.

  • Preference will be given to those in the DMV area as this is a hybrid role; however, if located outside of area, consideration based on skill and willingness to travel will be given.

WHAT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE

  • Industry recognized certifications, such as the Project Management Professional.
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
  • Federal acquisition experience across multiple agencies, specifically the Federal Aviation Administration, to leverage lessons learned, best practices, and innovative approaches for solving complex procurements.

The annual salary range for this position is $149,000.00-$248,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
