Your Opportunity, Your Team
- The Associate Apparel designer supports QVC and HSN, and helps design and develop apparel categories/brands that align to business strategy, trend direction, and customer needs.
Where You'll Work
- This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at our office in West Chester, PA several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, NJ, or DE. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What You'll Do
- Support the design and development of apparel classifications and/or brands under the guidance of the Senior Designer, ensuring products align with brand vision, seasonal trends, customer needs, and business strategy.
- Manage the PLM process from concept through production for assigned styles, including style creation, design development packages, information maintenance, and meeting preparation.
- Research trends, fabrics, and competitive market activity through market shopping, trade shows, and trend services, and partner with sourcing teams to identify materials that meet brand aesthetic and pricing needs.
- Create and maintain design tools and presentation materials including flat sketches, Illustrator line boards, Pantone color boards, and supporting materials for line reviews, buyer meetings, and assortment reviews.
- Partner cross-functionally with sourcing, technical design, buyers, and materials management to maintain seasonal calendars, resolve development issues, review tech packs, and approve fabrics, lab dips, and related development materials.
What You'll Bring
- 3–5 years of apparel design experience and a Bachelor's degree in apparel design or equivalent business experience.
- Working knowledge of garment construction and the product development process, including an understanding of how apparel is sourced, developed, and marketed.
- Strong design, conceptual, and color/print skills, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office/Excel, Mac operating systems, and PLM systems.
