We are currently seeking candidates for teaching undergraduate biology courses. Under the direction of the Chair of the Biology department, this position is responsible for teaching undergraduate biology courses, particularly those in human anatomy and physiology. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative department that prepares students for graduate study and meaningful careers in biology and related fields. Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for teaching introductory biology courses, including but not limited to BIOL 243 Intro to Human Anatomy and BIOL 244 Human Physiology
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Biology department and throughout the university.
• Adapt and align course materials using departmental syllabus templates, required text(s), and other resources.
• Provide regular and timely feedback on student work.
• Follow university policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in a medical field or closely related biology degree with at least 18 hours of Biology coursework in anatomy and physiology
• Experience teaching college level biology courses, particularly anatomy and physiology
• Experiencing using virtual lab software, such as Labster
• Ongoing professional development
• Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and student-centered learning that is supportive of all learners
• Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MD or PhD in a medical or health related field, or doctoral degree in a closely related field with at least 18 hrs of anatomy and physiology coursework.
• Experience with a variety of pedagogical and technological educational delivery methods
