Senior UI Artist

What youll do:

Are you ready to unleash your creativity and be a pivotal force in shaping the visual and interactive aspects of our games? At Squanch Games, we’re seeking a Senior UI Artist who thrives on collaboration, innovation, and pushing the boundaries of game design.

As a Senior UI Artist, you’ll be at the forefront of our game development process, collaborating closely with our art, design, and engineering teams to create visually stunning and user-friendly UI designs while leveraging 3D and experimental UI design. Your creative vision and expertise will help elevate the visuals and gameplay of our projects, ensuring an unforgettable experience for players.

In this role, you will:

• Work in 3D and utilize software such as Blender, 3DSMax, or Maya.
• Lead by example and mentor fellow UI Artists with feedback and support.
• Conceptualize, prototype, and iterate on UI layouts, icons, buttons, and interactive elements.
• Take wireframes and bring them to life.
• Maintain consistency in visual style, branding, and user experience across all UI components.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments to integrate UI elements into the game environment.
• Bring your passion for art creation into every aspect of our games.
• Develop UI assets and implement them into the Unreal Engine 5.0 or higher.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve UI quality and innovation.

What were looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role, with at least 1-2 shipped titles as a Senior UI Artist.
• Knowledge of 3D art and proficiency in 3D softwares.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software tools for UI design and asset creation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while also working independently.
• An eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling in games.
• A strong portfolio of work showcasing your skills and insight into your process.
• A fun-loving and creative spirit, eager to contribute to our dynamic team culture.
• Willingness to take a 3D art test to showcase your skills and abilities.

• Salary range: $108,000 to $145,000 depending on experience
