The selected engineer will focus on 10ZiG Endpoint Management (AWS-hosted) and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) as part of a four-person VDI engineering team structured for technical redundancy and continuity across all supported platforms.
Responsibilities

- Build and maintain AVD gold images, multi-session host pools, FSLogix profile containers, and cost-saving auto-scaling rules.
- Establish pilot groups, collect latency, logon-time, and peripheral-compatibility metrics, and refine virtual desktop templates from user feedback.
- Apply DISA STIGs across VDI operating-system templates, Active Directory policies, endpoint firmware, and supporting cloud resources.

- Author, test, and gather technical evidence supporting CTO and ATO packages.
- Develop and maintain CONOPS, SOPs, technical design documentation, and architectural whitepapers.
- Provide Tier-3 escalation support and standardized technical instructions and training to operations personnel.
- Provide recommendations on cloud-consumption optimization, hardware lifecycle planning, and Zero Trust security architectures.
- Coordinate with integration, security, and operations stakeholders to align VDI templates, applications, and networks with enterprise R&D guidelines and deployment pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- CompTIA Security+ meeting the DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II baseline, or a globally recognized equivalent certification (mandatory).
- Hands-on VDI administration experience with at least one primary platform: Microsoft AVD, AWS WorkSpaces, or Omnissa/VMware Horizon.
- Experience configuring and operating 10ZiG Manager or an equivalent thin-client deployment console.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for template deployment, cloud-resource scheduling, and user-profile automation.
- Documented experience executing STIG checklists and supporting CTO/ATO documentation packages in highly regulated enterprise environments.
- Strong technical communication skills, including SOPs, technical design blueprints, and system whitepapers.
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator.
- VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility (VCP-DTM) or Omnissa Horizon credentials.
- Experience supporting multiple VDI platforms across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
