The role

We're looking for a mid-level Product Designer to join our growing design team and help shape the next stage of Isla's product experience.

Reporting to our Product Design Lead and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and our Clinical Safety Officer, you'll play a key role in improving UX and UI across our product.

You'll help create the conditions for great design to thrive: advocating for strong design-led thinking, improving design practices, and ensuring design remains an enabler rather than a bottleneck as we scale.

What you'll do

  • Design complex clinical and patient-facing experiences end-to-end, from flows and wireframes through to polished UI and implementation-ready designs
  • Ensure user needs are represented throughout the product development process, from early discovery and problem definition through to delivery and iteration
  • Influence our approach to AI - explore and experiment with AI tools within the design workflow, helping identify practical ways they can improve speed, quality and collaboration
  • Work closely with our Engineers to drive forward our design system, ensuring it is usable, accessible, and AI-ready
  • Improve UX quality across the platform - proactively identify friction, inconsistencies, and opportunities to simplify workflows and improve the overall user experience

Requirements

  • Strong end-to-end product design skills, with a focus on design systems and UI
  • Systems thinking - understanding how changes in one area can impact others across a complex, multi-user product
  • Experience working with Engineers and AI tools to build and maintain design systems
  • Expertise in accessibility and inclusive design

Benefits

  • Work where you do your best work either from home or at our office in 131 Finsbury Pavement (Moorgate) 🏢
  • Share in our success with EMI share options
  • Flexible working times
  • Work abroad for up to 90 days per year
  • 25 days annual leave on top of bank holidays. Plus, take your birthday off and another significant day off of your choice 🎂
  • Quarterly meal on us enjoy up to £75 to treat friends or family
  • Wellbeing allowance (£50 per month for gym membership/wellbeing activities) or private medical insurance
  • Salary sacrifice pension plus access to Mintago for retail discounts, financial coaching, childcare vouchers, virtual GP and more
  • Enhanced parental leave to support your family when it matters most
  • Quarterly team socials
  • An annual learning budget to support your growth
  • Work with purpose - you'll be delivering social impact through improved patient healthcare
  • Join at an exciting stage - we're a well-funded, rapidly growing health tech company tackling a global challenge
  • Help shape the future of Isla - your ideas won't disappear into layers of management. You'll have real ownership, real impact, and help define how we grow the business
