Description
Skeleton's Finance team is looking for a Technical Grants Writer (m/f/x) who thrives at the intersection of advanced technology, public funding, and innovation strategy.
You’ll be part of our grants team, contributing to the development of fundraising strategies, supporting engagement with leading investors, and assisting in corporate finance initiatives that advance our mission.
Your tasks in the net-zero journey:
- Support the preparation and development of compelling, high-quality grant proposals for EU and national funding programs as part of our experienced grants team.
- Translate complex technical content (e.g., energy storage systems, graphene materials, power electronics) into clear, persuasive narratives.
- Own all written sections of the proposal, including technical descriptions, impact, innovation, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate inputs from R&D, Engineering, Product, and Finance teams while maintaining consistency and clarity in the final proposal.
- Ensure alignment with funder guidelines, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements.
- Manage proposal timelines and internal workflows to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Support the creation of reusable content libraries and assist with reporting for awarded grants as needed.
Requirements
We don’t expect to master it all. At Skeleton, you’ll have the support of the team and we work together to achieve our goals. However, there are requirements you should be able to fulfill to succeed in this role:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Materials Science) or in Communications with proven experience writing for technical audiences.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with key EU funding instruments such as the Innovation Fund, IPCEI, EIC, etc.
- Demonstrated success in writing and winning competitive grants from EU-level programs.
- Ability to work with highly technical content (e.g., thermal behavior of ultracapacitors, graphene characterization, powertrain integration) and synthesize for non-technical evaluators.
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and high strategic impact.
- Very strong fluency in English-in both verbal and writing.
Benefits
- A flat hierarchy culture - fostering our great working atmosphere.
- Use the training budget to expand your knowledge and competencies.
- Helpfulness among colleagues is not just an empty phrase but a practice every day.
- A motivating opportunity for continuous growth at Skeleton.
- An additional day off every year for your birthday.
