Tax Reporting Manager
Ebury Madrid Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week
The Finance team is a strong and growing part of the business. We’re looking for an individual who can support and challenge us in our journey to take our tax controls to the next level.
We are seeking a Tax Reporting Manager to join our growing finance team. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of tax reporting and compliance for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax, with a focus on tax provision, reporting, and a solid understanding of international tax principles
What you’ll do
- Monthly Tax Provision and Reporting: Lead the preparation and internal reporting of the monthly tax provision and effective tax rate calculations. This includes analyzing and summarizing tax data to ensure accurate financial reporting and providing timely insights to senior management.
- Deferred Tax Asset (DTA) Management: Take ownership of the preparation and posting of all deferred tax asset calculations. You'll ensure proper valuation and reporting of DTAs and liabilities, while maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Financial Statement Reporting: Prepare and review all tax-related notes and disclosures for our accounting and financial statements, ensuring clarity and accuracy in accordance with IFRS or Local GAAP.
- Jurisdiction Onboarding: Manage the tax function aspects of expanding into new jurisdictions. You'll be responsible for ensuring all local and international tax compliance requirements are correctly identified, implemented, and monitored for new entities. This includes working closely with legal and business development teams to ensure a smooth transition.
- Tax Expense Review and Control: Conduct thorough reviews of financial postings to guarantee the correct and accurate capture of all tax-related expenses. You'll be a key point of contact for resolving any discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of our tax-related data.
- Corporate Project Support: Provide expert assistance and support on corporate projects that affect the tax function. This may include mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, system implementations, and other strategic initiatives where tax considerations are paramount.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve and automate tax reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
What you’ll need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax, with a strong focus on tax accounting and reporting.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and ERP (NetSuite/Oracle, SAP and NAV).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with international tax and multi-jurisdictional reporting is a plus.
- University degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics or similar.
- English (C1), Spanish (C1), other languages are a plus
