Job Description:

$58,000 - $72,000 | Hybrid with  in-person reporting to Duluth MN.

What You'll Do:

• Under general supervision, support the tax compliance and reporting activities of ALLETE and its affiliates. 
• Assist in the preparation of tax compliance requirements, conducting basic tax research, and participate in financial control processes. 
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations specific to the utility industry, supporting regulatory reporting obligations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. 
• Gain valuable experience in tax analysis and develop a foundational understanding of the utility industry’s unique tax environment. 
• Detail-oriented ability and strong analytical skills required. 
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required to establish and maintain relationships.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Candidates graduating by December 31, 2026 will be considered.
• Degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred, but an equivalent degree with applicable accounting course work may be considered.
• No experience required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $58,000 - $72,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
