This role will help shape how we manage, integrate and use project controls, project management and broader program data to support reporting, benchmarking, decision-making and future AI-enabled tools. The successful candidate will be able to advise on technology and data architecture options, recommend practical implementation pathways and lead the delivery of preferred solutions across platforms, systems and reporting environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Architecture and Strategy: Assess current project controls, project management and program data environments, identify improvement opportunities and advise on practical architecture options to support reporting, benchmarking, automation and future AI use cases.
- Implement Systems and Data Solutions: Lead the implementation and configuration and improvement of systems and data solutions across major projects and programs, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned to business needs.
- Develop Data Models: Create robust data models and reporting architectures to enable integrated dashboards and facilitate real-time decision-making.
- Data Integration: Integrate data across various systems, including bulk data migration, APIs, structured reporting environments and cloud-based data platforms, to enhance visibility, consistency and control.
- Business Process Translation: Translate complex business processes into system design, data structures and configuration requirements, promoting standardisation and consistent reporting across the organisation.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Data Engineering and Architecture Experience: Proven experience designing, implementing or improving data solutions, data models and reporting architectures in complex project, program or enterprise environments.
- Systems Implementation Capability: Experience implementing, configuring or integrating business systems, preferably in project controls, project management, infrastructure, construction or major program environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong capability in developing data models and reporting architectures, data integration, data modelling, APIs, bulk data migration and structured reporting environments. Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is expected.
- Cloud and Data Platform Awareness: Working knowledge of modern data platform options such as Azure, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or similar, with the ability to advise on practical options and implementation pathways.
- Project Controls and Platform Experience: Familiarity with project controls, project management, commercial, schedule, risk or performance data is highly desirable. UniPhi or similar platform experience is preferable but not essential.
- Continuous Improvement Focus: A proactive approach to improving data quality, reporting consistency, workflow efficiency and future readiness for automation and AI-enabled tools.
