CASH & BANK ACCOUNTANT or SR. ACCOUNTANT:

The C&B accountant in this role will report to Treasury and cash & bank lead function under finance and accounting organization. He / She will be responsible to manage the postings of bank transactions either automatically or manually and initiate vendor payments, foreign currency payment and other statutory payments. Perform bank reconciliations on weekly and monthly basis and drive / support process automations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage bank statement postings using MT940 Standardized swift format electronic bank statements in ERP & manual bank statement posting where MT940 integration is not possible.
  • Timely reconciliations of bank accounts and clearing of open / uncleared items.
  • Preparation and monitoring of payment transfers and work towards resolving errors if any.
  • Outbound and Inbound payment processing
  • Manage intercompany clearing process (TBC)
  • Answering any queries external and internal stakeholders
  • Connect with local, national and international banking partners for resolving the technical issues.
  • Taking part in month-end closing process
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other finance and non-finance team.
  • Preparing reports and analysis
  • Assuring process compliance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Inter/Co Netting Off of Receivable & Payable and manage the double posting between the
  • Manage cash pooling of balances to central treasury accounts.
  • Manage funding to subsidiary accounts based on cash forecast
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Government and FEMA regulations.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

Professional experience in the field of accounting / bookkeeping with specialization in the field of Cash & Bank and Treasury operations. Should have minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing the treasury and Cash & bank operations.

  • University degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Very good command of spoken and written English
  • Good knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc.)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Methodical approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to details, consistency and quality
  • Able to demonstrate excellent customer/client facing skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, can clearly explain and present problems and issues to others and contribute to their resolution
  • Should be a strong team member.
