Key Purpose of the Job: As part of our growing software development team, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Engineer II, Applications. The Software Engineer works on a wide and diverse range of projects including desktop and mobile music creation and host applications, plug-ins and virtual instruments. Familiarity with music technology hard and software will ensure that the Software Developer understands the technical requirements and challenges of our products and solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or similar education
- Several years of working experience in application software development
- Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code within an established architecture, following defined coding standards
- Excellent object-oriented C++ programming skills
- Experience developing with a cross-platform software framework
- Experience implementing connections to remote server and cloud APIs
- Proficiency with software development tools (Visual Studio, Xcode, Git, CMake, Jira / Confluence)
- Fluent German and English language skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Excellent time, task and resource organisation skills
- Willing to take responsibility and be the driving force of a project
Desirable Qualities:
- Familiarity with a cross-platform software framework such as Qt or JUCE
- Knowledge of digital audio workstation (DAW) software
- Knowledge of VST/AU plug-in technologies
- Background in music or music production/audio technology
