This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious organisation where technology sits at the heart of what we do. Working across Product, Technology, Customer Success, Commercial and Operational teams, you'll help shape and coordinate strategic programmes that deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and support the next stage of our growth journey.

If you enjoy bringing clarity to complexity, influencing across multiple stakeholders and turning strategy into successful delivery, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
As Senior Technical Programme Manager, you'll lead the coordination and delivery of large-scale technology initiatives across multiple teams and business functions.
You'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring programmes remain aligned with business priorities, customer needs and commercial objectives. Working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, you'll help create alignment, remove barriers to progress and ensure successful outcomes.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex challenges and can confidently engage with everyone from software engineers to senior executives and customers.

What You'll Be Doing
Programme Delivery & Governance

  • Lead the delivery of complex technology programmes and strategic business initiatives.
  • Develop programme roadmaps, milestones, dependencies and success measures.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple teams to ensure delivery remains aligned and on track.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Balance short-term priorities with longer-term strategic objectives.
  • Ensure programmes support customer outcomes and business goals.

Technical Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Technology, Product, Architecture and Customer Success teams.
  • Understand technical solutions, dependencies and trade-offs to support informed decision-making.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible business language.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams and support the resolution of technical or organisational challenges.
  • Contribute to the adoption of scalable delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a central point of coordination across multiple functions.
  • Ensure customer needs are reflected in planning, decision-making and delivery activities.
  • Communicate programme progress, risks and recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Influence decision-making and drive alignment across competing priorities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Champion Agile and Lean ways of working.
  • Support planning, governance and dependency management across teams.
  • Develop and enhance programme reporting and delivery frameworks.
  • Use data and insights to track progress and drive improvements.

Leadership & Development

  • Support, mentor and coach colleagues across delivery and technology teams.
  • Share knowledge and promote best practice throughout the organisation.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to building and developing high-performing teams.

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience

  • Significant experience delivering complex technical programmes within software, SaaS, technology or engineering-led environments.
  • Experience coordinating large-scale initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and business functions.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and modern technology delivery practices.
  • Experience operating within Agile environments and scaled delivery frameworks.
  • Strong governance, risk management and executive reporting experience.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and navigate complex organisational environments.

Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding of software engineering principles and technology delivery practices.
  • Ability to engage confidently in discussions around architecture, cloud technologies, APIs, platforms and systems integration.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and product teams to deliver complex solutions.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

Skills & Behaviours

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Commercial awareness and customer focus.
  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to complex challenges.
  • Adaptable, resilient and comfortable working in evolving environments.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting the growth and development of others.

Desirable

  • Experience within transport, infrastructure, software, data or technology-enabled services.
