Sitting at the center-point of our conversion funnel, our checkout platform receives millions of orders each year, generating more than 6+ billion dollars in demand from our customers across the globe.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be playing a pivotal role within the Checkout & Wishlist Team, responsible for designing, developing and testing end-to-end features while engaging with our partner teams to bring about the very best-of-class experiences to our customers.
A Day in the Life…
- Design and collaborate with local and partner teams.
- Participate and contribute to the agile development and planning process.
- Write highly maintainable, easy-to-understand code for RESTful services, event-driven systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure following secure coding practices.
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of engineering standards, concepts, and principles to solve business needs.
- Design complex systems at the organization level with upstream/downstream dependencies and understand business metrics.
- Mentor other engineers and help them split larger designs into individual work units.
- Design and validate all scenarios through complete and automated unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify and prevent performance issues, optimize solutions and infrastructure, and lead cross-functional troubleshooting.
- Instrument code appropriately, creating custom metrics, alerts, and dashboards.
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices across the entire solution.
- Collaborate with other software engineers on design and best practices and conduct code reviews.
- Understand tradeoffs in engineering processes and adjust team processes to meet project needs.
- Test all scenarios and conform to quality and security standards.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality and testability.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call responsibilities.
You Own This If You Have…
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of professional experience developing RESTful services and event-driven applications.
- Solid foundation in software engineering practices, data modeling, object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, and algorithms.
- Experience with JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience using Go, Java, .NET, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with AWS services including Kubernetes, Elastic Cache Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation, or similar cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and open-source software development.
- Familiarity with test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, New Relic, and Splunk.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Curious mindset for AI adoption to optimize work processes.
- Passion for new technologies, operational excellence, and customer impact.

Pay Range Details
The salary range for this position is $142,000.00–$220,500.00 annually. Pay is based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
