About the Opportunity
Full-time opening for Sr. Software Engineer at Ellucian Company LLC in Reston, VA 20191 (HQ). JOB DUTIES: Design, develop, and test high-quality software solutions that meet customer expectations without compromising on quality or timelines. Analyze and resolve functional and performance issues through research, proof of concept, and impact analysis. Participate actively in software requirements gathering, design discussions, and code reviews. Influence development practices and provide constructive technical feedback to peers. Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, methodologies, and functionalities. Take full ownership of tasks from requirements gathering through final testing. Work independently and collaboratively in a global, agile environment. Contribute to high-level and detailed estimations for roadmap tasks and strategic initiatives. Create technical user stories that translate functional requirements into actionable development tasks, identifying gaps and proposing solutions. Champion and drive change across the development lifecycle. Collaborate with support teams to investigate and resolve reported issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective workarounds or configuration changes. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or its foreign educational equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related discipline. Higher degree accepted but not a minimum requirement plus 36 months’ experience as a full-stack software developer using object-oriented programming languages.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
3 years' experience in each of the following :with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) and DevOps practices.with strong object-oriented programming skills.in Front-End Development with React, Angular, JavaScript, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, and jQuery. in Web Application Servers in configuring and deploying applications.with Microservices Architecture in designing and developing microservices.in Database Technologies: with normalized/denormalized databases.in Version Control & DevOps Tools with Git/Bitbucket, Docker, and other DevOps tools.in implementing best practices, optimizing performance, and conducting code reviews.
**100% remote position can work from anywhere in the contiguous U.S. states.
