$70-$75 per hour

Duration: 7+ months
Schedule: Hybrid (depends on project(s) supporting; 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team focused on developing Data Acquisition and Control Systems for test stands and test facilities supporting aerospace hardware testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building robust control software applications that run on NI PXIe, CompactRIO, FPGA, and Windows platforms.
• Familiarity with instrument drivers and test equipment integration using LabVIEW or equivalent is required.
• The candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing applications that collect and control data in various test environments.

Responsibilities:

• Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
• Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development with a focus on data acquisition and test or process control systems.

Skillsets:

• Experience in PLC programming with emphasis on Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff PLCs.
• Strong programming skills in LabVIEW or equivalent; familiarity with additional languages is a plus.
• Experience integrating test instruments into control systems, such as power analyzers, power supplies, pressure scanners, temperature scanners, flow meters, pressure transmitters, and actuators.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
