About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Sales Engineer to partner with our MSP Account Executives in driving new business opportunities, allowing MSPs to protect their customers with managed detections, guided response, and 24/7 security operations.
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will drive business growth by understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions, and effectively articulating the value of our products and services. The ideal candidate possesses broad technical knowledge across various cybersecurity domains, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping organizations resolve complex security challenges.
Our Sales Engineers serve as the technical bridge between our services and prospective clients, translating business challenges into tailored cybersecurity solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Executives to effectively communicate the technical value of Blumira's cybersecurity services during prospect calls, demonstrations, and presentations.
- Conduct product demonstrations showcasing key features and functionality while addressing technical questions and concerns.
- Contribute to sales strategies, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations based on technical considerations.
- Work across multiple product domains with technologies including Linux, Windows, Active Directory, logging, firewalls, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, CrowdStrike, VMware Carbon Black, Duo Security, Microsoft 365, Okta, and other security tools.
- Learn about customer successes and challenges, share customer feedback internally, and advocate for customer interests.
- Help customers understand how Blumira can achieve their business goals.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused language for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current on cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Analyze customer needs and business challenges to develop customized proposals with the Account Executive team.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions consulting (cybersecurity preferred).
- 2+ years of experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), or Technology Service Providers (TSPs).
- Advanced technical background with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience presenting technical products and services, providing expert guidance, and troubleshooting customer questions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network and application security, cloud security, vulnerability management, compliance, security operations, and managed security services.
- Strong consultative selling, discovery, and customer needs analysis skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multilingual proficiency.
- Startup experience.
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, or Detection and Response platforms.
