Description: Aldrich CPAs and Advisors is seeking a Senior Regulatory Consultant to support rate-regulated utilities with cost of service studies, revenue requirement analyses, rate case preparation, depreciation studies, tariff development, and regulatory compliance guidance.
In this role, you'll work directly with clients to navigate complex regulatory environments, deliver strategic financial insight, and support successful rate and regulatory outcomes. As part of a collaborative advisory team, you will contribute technical expertise while building trusted client relationships.
This is a full-time position that may be based in one of our local offices or fully remote in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, IA, ID, KS, MT, NC, NV, OR, SC, TX, UT, AK or WA.

Requirements:
- Coordinate and support regulatory service delivery, including rate case preparation and testimony development
- Conduct cost of service studies, depreciation studies, and revenue requirement analyses
- Modify and update tariffs to align with regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with FERC, Uniform System of Accounts (USoA), Part 32, and other regulatory frameworks
- Analyze financial information, assess compliance risks, and recommend strategic solutions
- Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on regulatory matters
- Support engagement financial performance and contribute to firm growth
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's degree or J.D. from an accredited college or university
- 4+ years of experience in regulatory consulting, utility accounting, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of FERC, USoA, and rate-regulated utility reporting requirements
- Experience with rate development and regulatory filings
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
- Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating within a team
- Alaska regulatory experience is preferred but not required

The current estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 + DOE. Compensation decisions are based on experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
