Job Description Summary
GE Vernova's Power Conversion & Storage business combines advanced energy conversion and storage systems to meet the electrification needs of utilities and industries. With a focus on power stability, energy storage, and industrial electrification solutions, Power Conversion & Storage empowers customers by addressing their most complex electrification challenges and accelerating their transition to a sustainable, decarbonized future.
Customer-facing staff responsible for winning business leading a team of commercial, engineering, legal, and project execution to achieve commercial objectives. High levels of commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes required with a high prioritization toward Energy Storage and EMS applications for Data Centers.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for meeting or exceeding an established OP plan.
- Develop and execute commercial strategy for sales of stability solutions for data centers in the North America market, including BESS (storage solutions), EMS, and Medium Voltage UPS.
- Own the accurate forecasting of orders and convertible orders for your account package and reflect that in Salesforce.com.
- Manage relationships on a day-to-day basis and provide transactional support.
- Coordinate with selected GE Vernova businesses sales personnel across the region to implement joint account strategies and close synergy orders.
- Develop and execute an overall growth strategy with integrated plays for GE across the region.
- Develop strategic customer relationships with key decision makers in support of the sales team's strategic direction, including power developers, data center developers, independent power producers, and co-locators.
- Drive identification, prospecting, and creation of new sales opportunities.
- Support your customers in sales activities and provide assistance in identifying new opportunities.
- Coordinate activities and provide leadership to establish individual sales strategies, obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing and delivery.
- Negotiate contracts as required.
- Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base.
- Work with Marketing to develop project-specific sales strategies for assigned customers.
- Provide feedback to the leadership team to drive continued growth.
- Manage expenses within a given budget.
- Own the accounts in region; maintain relationships at all levels of the organization; develop and monitor growth plans, marketing programs, and training.
- Manage, maintain, and grow accounts in region to achieve quarterly and yearly quotas.
- Ensure GE-provided leads are followed up and converted to orders.
- Enforce global compliance standards; collaborate with the compliance manager to perform due diligence activities.
- Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence, and hit-rate information to business and sales leadership.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Sales, Commercial Operations, Engineering, or Technical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience within the Developer and Utilities markets.
- Experience with Data Center markets and portfolios.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America up to 50% of the time.
Desired Characteristics:
- Prior sales success in battery storage, data center power management, or hybrid solutions.
- Experience with gas turbines, battery storage, grid connection, islanded grids, hybrid systems, and related industry customers.
- Successful sales leadership experience with high-value, high-price system sales to senior leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of battery storage applications for product lines and markets.
- Experience developing relationships at all levels within an organization.
- Existing executive-level contacts at one or more regional accounts.
- Comfortable and experienced with cold calling targeted customers.

For U.S.-based candidates, the salary range is $128,400–$213,900 per year. Geographic salary differentials may apply. Compensation is based on experience, education, and skill set. The position is also eligible for a sales incentive bonus.
