Position Summary

The Senior Designer is responsible for designing 360° creative assets across the e.l.f. Beauty portfolio, including e.l.f. Cosmetics, e.l.f. SKIN, e.l.f. HAIR and Well People. Working in close partnership with the creative team, this role brings integrated campaigns to life across digital, social, retail, experiential, and other consumer touchpoints.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design execution for brands across connected commerce including digital, ecommerce, social, paid media, retail and more.
• Partner closely with art directors, copywriters and cross-functional partners to bring creative concepts to life, ensuring all work aligns with brand strategy, audience insights, and business objectives.
• Translate creative briefs, product storytelling, and consumer insights into compelling, brand-right visual assets and experiences.
• Maintain exceptional craft and visual consistency across typography, layout, imagery, and design systems while adapting creative for multiple channels and formats.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, eCommerce, UX, Social, Integrated Marketing, VM, Events and other channel partners from concept through final delivery.
• Identify opportunities to create engaging assets optimized for social platforms (Instagram, TikTok and more)
• Present creative work with confidence, clearly articulating design decisions and incorporating feedback thoughtfully and efficiently.
• Design with a channel-first mindset, optimizing creative for the unique behaviors, best practices, and technical requirements of social, retail, mobile, web, and email.
• Serve as someone who the jr. team members can go to for design feedback and guidance.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining timelines and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Stay current on beauty, skincare, clean beauty, fashion, design, and social trends—translating them into relevant, effective creative.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience in design roles within fast-paced, high-volume environments (beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries a plus).
• Experience in 360° channel design including social, digital and print.
• Knowledge of computer programs including: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator, Figma, digital animation software and a working knowledge of AI
• Strong portfolio demonstrating understanding of craft in typography, color, hierarchy, and visual language.
• Ability to balance business objectives with creative vision and brand integrity.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented working style working at speed in an evolving workflow
• Ability to pivot quickly while maintaining high creative standards across different verticals.
• Passion and understanding of skincare, beauty, design and cultural trends.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

$70,000 - $90,000 a year

The base salary range for this role is listed above. 

Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.’s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
