The Income Tax Compliance Senior Consultant ("Senior Consultant") works with the income tax compliance team to provide income tax compliance services to corporate and partnership clients. The Senior Consultant prepares workpapers, original and amended federal and state income tax returns, quarterly estimated and extension payments, identifies tax issues and provides tax analysis for a wide variety of entities and their affiliates. The Senior Consultant works closely with other team members and also must be able to work independently when required.

- Assists Income Tax Compliance Management team in developing project workplans and scheduling associated project deliverables
- Works well in a collaborative and teaming environment.

- Responds to client inquiries and requests from state agencies.

- Works effectively in a complex, deadline-driven environment
- Prepares and files original and/or amended federal and state corporate and partnership income tax returns as well as estimated/extension payments
- Reviews documentation and researches federal and state tax return issues
- Works with raw data to complete all applicable calculations and corresponding tax returns
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting.

CPA license or CPA eligibility.

Minimum 3-5 years of tax experience of federal and state income tax compliance experience in public accounting, professional services, or a corporate tax department.

Strong understanding of federal and state income tax concepts, including apportionment, modifications, estimated tax requirements, and filing methodologies.

Experience with consolidated corporate income tax returns.

Experience with pass-through entities, multistate filing requirements, and unitary reporting.
Experience working with clients across multiple industries.
Professional Skills:
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of GOSYSTEMS Tax RS software, ONESOURCE software, and/or Corptax software is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer
- Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external clients, vendors, and candidates at all levels
- Very limited, if any, travel required.
