It has the objective of generating reliable, evidence-based insights to support strategic decision-making, risk management, and performance optimisation. The role exists to transform raw data into statistically valid analyses, predictive models, and interpretable outputs that quantify trends, uncertainty, and relationships within the business and external clients. This includes defining analytical frameworks, assessing data quality and its limitations, and communicating statistically relevant findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The position operates with a high degree of autonomy in selecting appropriate statistical techniques it uses and is accountable for ensuring the methodological integrity, reliability, and practical relevance of all analytical outputs.

We will count on you to:

  • Engage with clients to define analytical objectives, scope statistical investigations, and translate business problems into statistically valid analytical frameworks.
  • Advise clients on the collection of claims-related data, reviewing current collection practices to ensure key-data points are appropriately mapped and tracked in light of the clients risk profile and business objectives.
  • Design statistical approaches to data collection and study structures ensuring alignment between business questions, sampling approaches, and analytical validity.
  • Communicate complex statistical findings in a clear and structured manner to enable the clients informed decision-making.
  • Translate complex analytical findings to clients through reports, dashboards, and presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in statistical analysis within the team.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification at Bachelor level or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Applied Finance, or a closely related quantitative discipline with a strong emphasis on data science, statistical theory and methods.
  • Experience in statistical analysis, data modelling, or quantitative analysis roles, with demonstrated application of statistical methodologies to real-world datasets.
  • Proven experience in selecting, applying, and validating statistical models, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, time series analysis, and distributional modelling.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing analytical approaches, defining data requirements, and assessing data quality, reliability, and limitations.
  • Experience translating statistical findings into actionable insights and communicating complex analytical outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, or statistical programming environments (R or Python).

Why join our team:
