Title: Senior Audio Systems Engineer

Location: Elstree England GB

Type: Full-time

Workplace: Hybrid remote

Job Description:

Cutting Edge Music Tech - On-Demand Vinyl Records

We are seeking a Senior Audio Systems Engineer to help us revolutionise the music industry. The company has invented a new technology to produce on-demand vinyl records and built a web platform for music creators to create and sell their products worldwide via our store at zero cost. We are working with the leading record labels, streaming services, digital service providers, distributors, and iconic global artists who are keen to partner with us to build a global solution for physical media. But most of all, we would also like to give small artists and artists at the beginning of their careers frictionless access to offer vinyl and CD to their fans via our innovative solution and planned production/fulfilment centres in Europe, the USA and Asia.

The vinyl market has been growing on average more than 20% yearly over the last 16 years, and even CDs are growing for the first time in two decades. Over 30 million creators are releasing their music online today, and they are growing 30% a year. They represent the fastest-growing music segment. Most of them would like to have their music on vinyl or CD for their friends & family and especially their fans. elasticStage will provide them with easy and affordable access via its unique and scalable on-demand tech.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Audio Systems Engineer to join a fast-paced organisation delivering rapidly-scaling production infrastructure. In this role, you will play a critical part in the architecture, delivery, and long-term evolution of large-scale analogue, digital and networked audio systems for our production environments. Your expertise will ensure mission-critical audio systems meet demanding standards for performance, resilience, and zero-downtime operation. You will work closely with quality, maintenance and cross-discipline engineering and R&D teams, and will report directly to the Head of Audio, providing technical leadership and driving high-impact decisions across audio infrastructure and facility systems.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of audio engineering, system design and installations in a fast-growing industry disruptor.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical architecture and delivery of large-scale digital and networked audio systems, from specification through commissioning and operational handover.

  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex audio reliability issues, partnering with Audio Quality & Maintenance teams to diagnose, resolve, and prevent production-impacting failures.

  • Translate Audio R&D standards into practical, real-world deployments, and help shape tooling requirements through feedback from commissioning and production operations.

  • Lead cross-functional technical coordination with IT, electrical, and other engineering teams to ensure robust integration across facilities, networks, and building infrastructure.

  • Provide technical leadership within the audio engineering function, including mentoring, guidance to contractors, and technical mentorship for other team members.

  •
  •

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience delivering professional audio systems engineering work in broadcast and/or post-production environments.

  • Proven experience owning end-to-end deployment of large-scale digital and networked audio systems in real facilities.

  • Strong expertise in audio networking technologies such as Dante, Ravenna, and/or Milan AVB.

  • Track record of designing for high availability, redundancy, and operational resilience in “zero downtime” production systems.

  • Experience specifying and procuring audio systems and infrastructure, including vendor selection and technical evaluation.

  • Strong understanding of power electronics, grounding, and power-related considerations for high-end audio systems.

  • Excellent knowledge of cabling standards, structured wiring, patching, documentation, and commissioning best practices.

  • Strong project planning capability, including risk management, dependencies, and structured commissioning approaches.

  • Experience collaborating effectively with IT and systems engineering teams, handling high-throughput media data infrastructure.

  • High-confidence troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across physical audio, networked audio, and hybrid systems.

  • Familiarity with high-throughput media data infrastructure and prioritisation of audio media traffic across networks.

  • Experience working to externally defined technical standards and implementing R&D-led tooling or frameworks.

  • Background in multi-room or multi-building production or broadcast facilities.

  • Prior experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership within a team.
