A community-focused Nonprofit Organization in the Bronx is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to support its daily financial operations. The role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits and budgeting. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and contributing to a mission-driven team.
Responsibilities

Maintain general ledger activity and ensure accurate recording of transactions.

Prepare and review financial reports and reconciliations.

Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close processes.

Assist with budgeting, grant tracking, and audit preparation.

Collaborate with internal departments and external partners as needed.
Qualifications
-
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit background a plus.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
Compensation: $38-$43/ Hour
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
