JOB SUMMARY

 

The Safety Coordinator I will be responsible for assisting the Safety Supervisor in a wide variety of safety functions within the Company in the most professional, timely, accurate, and safe manner.

 

JOB DUTIES

 

  • Submit reports (safety visits, audits, etc.) of daily activities
  • Assist with accident claims report hotline
  • Assist with the completion of workplace audits, incident investigations, and development, delivery, and documentation of training courses
  • Provide administrative support to the Safety Supervisor including accident communications, PPE requests, and scheduling safety committee meetings
  • Assist with the fleet department and tracking
  • Coordinate safety walkthrough inspections remotely through safety committee members
  • Support Safety Coordinator II and III in accident investigations, claims, root cause analysis, hazard investigations, standards, and processes, such as regulations of OSHA, WISHA, DOT, Federal and State, County and City ordinances, and laws relating to safe work practices
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 1+ years of equivalent work experience in safety management, inspections, risk assessment, and/or workplace safety in home care or healthcare industry.
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Combination of education and experience
  • OSHA certification with 1+ Years of OSHA experience, or equivalent
  • Experience with State Department of Labor & Industries, safety regulations, and OSHA preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Workplace, Jobsite & Industrial Safety principles, procedures & training as applicable to Safety
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
  • Have thorough knowledge of accident investigation. Be able to investigate and write out the root cause
  • Be able to successfully pass a background screening
  • If remote or hybrid, must have reliable Internet service

 

The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift to 20 pounds.
