About the role
12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Melboure Based | Hybrid Working
As the Regulatory Product Lead, you'll turn complex regulatory changes into practical product and pricing outcomes. Working across Product & Pricing, Regulatory Affairs, Legal and key regulators, you'll assess impacts, shape business responses and drive compliance initiatives from planning through to delivery.
You'll own the regulatory roadmap, lead change assessments, manage governance forums and influence AGL's position on future regulatory reforms. This is a high-impact role that requires strong commercial judgement, stakeholder influence and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments with confidence.
What you'll be doing:

Lead AGL's Product & Pricing regulatory strategy, owning the regulatory roadmap and shaping responses to major industry reforms across the energy market.

Translate complex regulatory changes into clear, actionable product, pricing and customer outcomes across plans, tariffs, systems and communications.

Influence industry outcomes by representing AGL in regulatory consultations, submissions and advocacy efforts before new rules are implemented.

Drive compliance and risk management by assessing impacts, identifying gaps, securing key decisions and leading remediation activities through to completion.

Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams across Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Technology, Digital, Marketing and Operations to deliver regulatory change efficiently and effectively.
About you:

Previous demonstrated experience in regulatory change, regulatory affairs, compliance, product or proposition management within energy, utilities or any regulated industry.

Experience interpreting legislation, rules, codes and guidelines with the ability to translate them into practical business and system requirements.

Strong working knowledge of the Australia energy retail regulatory environment.

Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to assess the customer, margin and operational trade-offs of alternative compliance approaches.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to make complex regulatory content accessible to non-specialist stakeholders and to influence senior stakeholders.
