About the opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and inquisitive individual to join our Group Risk team as a Regulatory Affairs Analyst.
In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of managing the bank's relationship with key regulators like APRA, ASIC and other regulatory relationships. You'll operate in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where your work directly informs and influences decisions across the Bank. If you're confident, organised, and thrive on challenge, this is your chance to make a significant impact.
In this role you’ll get to…
- Craft comprehensive and insightful reports for our Board Risk Committee, Executive Risk Committee, and Senior Leadership.
- Act as a key coordinator for our engagement with regulators, managing everything from supervisory meetings to formal requests for information.
- Review and quality-assure critical regulatory submissions, ensuring they are robust, accurate, and strategically aligned.
- Analyse the regulatory environment to identify thematic insights, emerging trends, and potential impacts for the Bank.
- Engage and build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from business unit leaders to the Chief Risk Officer.
- Drive a culture of transparency and accountability in all our external regulatory dialogues.
What you’ll bring to the role
- A curious and challenging mindset, with the confidence to question and ensure the integrity of information.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with a proven ability to act fast and meet critical deadlines.
- Experience in Regulatory, Compliance, Risk or Financial Services.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to engage effectively with everyone from executives to regulators.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, with experience in Power BI being a highly regarded bonus.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, located at our Adelaide, Melbourne or Bendigo Head Office locations.
We offer flexible work options that put our people first, working in a hybrid model with a minimum local Head Office attendance requirement determined by your Leader, to find a rhythm that works best for you and your team. We believe that coming into the office some of the time is the best way to learn, stay connected and collaborate effectively, especially for key activities like team days, 1:1s, and town halls.
We believe a diverse workforce supported by an inclusive culture is central to our success and we actively encourage applications from those who bring diversity of thought to our business. We support candidate requests for adjustment to accommodate an illness, injury, or disability to equitably participate in the selection process.
Still in two minds?
Research suggests 60% of women and underrepresented groups might stop here, even after getting as far as drafting an application. We believe that diversity makes every team stronger, so even if you don’t tick every box we still want to see your application!
