- GI Experience Required with two years of overall nursing experience strongly preferred. *
This role is Hybrid requiring up to 12 weeks on-site initially before an adjustment to just two days onsite and three days working remote. *
The Motility/ Neurointestinal GI Triage Nurse at MGH Ambulatory Gastroenterology plays a critical role in supporting communication and coordination between providers and patients during their course of care. This nurse helps implement the care plan outlined by providers, continuously reassessing each patient's condition and response to treatment.
Given that the patient population often involves a complex behavioral health and psychiatric component, the position requires someone who is both empathetic and resilient, able to build rapport and trust while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a high volume of patients, demonstrating strong clinical judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to coordinate care in a dynamic, sometimes challenging setting.
- Bilingual Spanish Speaker Preferred
- Prior ambulatory triage experience Preferred
- 3 years nursing experience preferred
- This role is Hybrid requiring up to 12 weeks on-site initially before an adjustment to 2-3 remote days based on the needs of the division

- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
