Overview
The Registered Dietitian (RDN) is responsible for implementing an individualized nutritional care plan for each patient. This role is also responsible for developing or obtaining patient nutrition educations materials. The Registered Dietitian counsels the patient, family, significant other or caregiver on prescribed diet, parenteral nutrition, and/or enteral nutrition and monitors adherence and response to therapy.
Applicants must reside in, or a commutable distance to locations listed on the posting. This is a remote position but must be able to travel into a branch as necessary.
Travel: up to 15%
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00 pm
We are looking for a Registered Dietitian with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including experience in Nutrition Support
Must be Registered in accordance with the Commission on Dietetics
Must be Licensed in GA and/or TN
Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, preferred

Responsibilities
- Co Develops, implements and monitors the clinical management of parenteral and enteral patients as part of the Nutrition Support Team
- Makes recommendations for nutrition intervention when necessary
- Reviews patient medical history, anthropometrics and pertinent lab values to assess home nutrition support protocols and insurance payer requirements
- Counsel patients and caregivers on home enteral and parenteral nutrition therapy. Assesses patients' understanding of and compliance with prescribed diet principles
- Ensure continuity of care with patient's physician, nurses and nutrition support teams to provide high quality patient centered care
- Participate in Performance Improvement Program and ACHC accreditation
- Identifies and promotes nutrition program services to clinical and professional referral base and performs necessary in-service education
- Supervisory Responsibility: No
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or related field
- Registered Dietitian with license to practice in assigned state(s); Certified Nutrition Support Clinician preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience required.
- Must have strong communication skills and organizational skills
- High level of self-motivation, initiative, flexibility and ability to work under pressure
To perform this role will require constant sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching and typing on a keyboard with fingers. The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 10-30 lbs
