About the team

QCS (Quality and Customer Satisfaction) is responsible for assuring the quality of operational activities (such as bids, projects, products and services) and supporting the maturity growth and performance improvement of the organisation. We do this to improve customer satisfaction and to drive competitiveness.

QCS enhances the ownership of operational teams for the quality of their output and strengthens the learning, improvement and problem-solving capabilities of these teams. QCS develops the maturity of the organisation as a whole by leveraging operational best practices and provides an independent view on operational performance to senior management.

About your future job

As a QAM, you contribute to bids, projects and products through assuring the quality thereof and motivating, coaching and supporting the relevant teams in execution of their tasks in line with relevant processes/governance, risk and opportunity management and problem solving.

The main tasks are:

  • Makes sure that the technical and non-technical requirements of the Customer are recorded, understood and managed efficiently by all the members of the Project team.

  • Ensures that the project deliverables comply with the customer’s requirements and with the applicable norms and standards.

  • Guides the Project team in defining and adjusting the Project reference system, and validates the resulting plans. Adjusts Quality Assurance actions to make sure they focus on the risks, taking into account the maturity of the Project team.

  • Assesses the execution of the Project (in relation to the plans): Evaluates deliverables through peer reviews, and ensures visibility through QA assessments, that features in the monthly project dashboards.

  • Makes sure that measures are planned and taken to reduced risks and make the most of opportunities relating to outsourced work.

You will have autonomy to fulfil your activities while maintaining the perspective of the customer and ensure that products, systems and processes meet the highest quality standards.

In addition, you will be involved in (transversal) problem solving and Root Cause Analysis, internal assessments and other improvement initiatives. Training in tools and practices will explicitly be part of your onboarding program and personal development

Why you'd be a good match

  • Bachelor or Master degree in technology, engineering and/or (business) management.

  • Profound interest in risks, processes, quality, problem solving and improvement.

  • Strong knowledge of Engineering process steps (Hardware and Software lifecycle).

  • Experience with Agile Software development.

  • An analytical thinker with an open and curious mind and excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, complex and multi-national environment wherein you connect with and influence various stakeholders in order to create (quality) awareness and challenge the status quo.

  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and teams in all layers of our organization.

What's in it for you

  • A challenging job in a great team within our high-tech, innovative work environment. Includes the freedom for initiative and good ideas.

  • Room for personal and professional growth within our organization, for example in regards to technical, commercial or international skills.

  • Valuable international collaboration with coworkers from 68 different countries around the globe.

  • A comfortable work space in a modern environment, with a focus on flexibility and the right work life balance.

  • You can usually work where and whenever you want. Within Thales, we aim for a 60/40 balance, where you work from home at least two days a week, when your role allows this.

  • A good salary, fitting travel allowance, and the ability to personalize your employment conditions: for instance, you can trade PTO for internet costs, our bicycle plan, company fitness and relocation costs.

  • 40 days off per year (PTO).
