The Field Inventory Coordinator provides remote operational support to the Sales Ops team and Spine Sales organization by managing inventory requests, coordinating order fulfillment, and analyzing requests based on inventory levels and needs throughout the established support area(s). This role serves as a key liaison between field sales representatives, regional offices, distribution centers, and internal partners to ensure surgical cases are supported with the appropriate inventory while maintaining inventory accuracy and approved deployment parameters. The Field Inventory Coordinator is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, facilitating implant and instrument extras requests, resolving inventory issues, and supporting the timely movement and replacement of inventory required for patient spine cases in the field.

 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as the primary remote point of contact for Sales Representatives and Sales Operations regarding inventory requests and case support needs.

  • Locate spine sets/equipment in the field for cases to optimize use of deployed inventory, by reviewing surgical dashboard multiple times per day

  • Coordinate implant and instrument orders to ensure product availability for scheduled procedures.

  • Monitor inventory levels across field locations to maintain established inventory level parameters.

  • Clear all open orders in SAP and other established order management systems at the end of each day to ensure no carry over

  • Collaborate with distribution centers, internal teams, and field personnel to resolve inventory shortages and support urgent surgical requirements.

  • Review daily inventory reports and proactively address open requests, backorders, and inventory discrepancies.

  • Process and track inventory transactions, and order requests using internal systems.

  • Ensure inventory movements are documented accurately and maintain traceability requirements and follow up with field to get inventory returned.

  • Support field inventory optimization initiatives by identifying excess inventory and recommending redeployment opportunities.

  • Assist with quality control processes and verification of inventory records to ensure data accuracy.

  • Provide operational support and guidance to Sales Representatives and Sales Associates regarding inventory processes and procedures.

  • Maintain knowledge of company products, systems, policies, and logistics procedures.

  • Assist with other Sales Ops projects as needed, including product recalls, etc.

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

  • SAP knowledge

 

Nice to Have

  • Microsoft Office proficiency, Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$62,400.00 - $93,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance,Health Savings Account,Healthcare Flexible Spending Account,Life insurance, Long-term disability leave,Dependent daycare spending account,Tuition assistance/reimbursement, andSimple Steps (global well-being program).
