Title: Professional Finance Controlling & Admin D&L Australia

Location: Sydney Australia

Job Description:

Professional Finance Controlling & Admin D&L Australia (50% part time) Direct reporting line: CFO APAC, Hendrik Berg Main Objectives: Management and organization of the Australia Dining & Lifestyle Legal Entity from a Financial Accountant, Controlling and Admin perspective.

Area of Influence: Control of the Australian legal entity from a finance & controlling and admin view. Proposals and elaboration on the optimization potential.

Strength of function: Acting as an independent strong business partner to the local country manager. Support on developing strategic decisions to drive the local market to its full market potentials. Own the legal entity's financial and admin operations, ensure data quality in distribution systems (via SAP CO-PA as a key module) Internationality of the organization (also international knowledge transfer not only top-down but also bottom-up) Close cooperation with regional functions (APAC HR & SSC teams) and Corporate-Division functions (Headquarter in Germany)

Main position tasks: ( based on 0.5 FTE)

Financial Management & Reporting: Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop budgets, collaborate with Country Manager, and deliver accurate sales forecasts.

Financial Close & Reporting: Supervise month-end/year-end processes, analyze financial statements, and report to HQ.

Local Accounts Management: Accounts Payable (AP): Approve invoices, plan payments, and coordinate new vendor setup.

Accounts Receivable (AR): Monitor payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and ensure timely collection. Local Expertise: Understand Australian regulations, manage local accounts, and ensure smooth financial operations within the local time-zone.

Tax & Audit Management: Compliance: Submit tax returns, ensure accuracy, and collaborate with HQ and SSC.

Audit: Coordinate with HQ, SSC, and external auditors for a successful audit process.

Local Expertise: Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations.

Asset & Cash Flow Management: Asset Management: Manage fixed assets, bank guarantees, and lease assets.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash inflows and outflows, ensuring liquidity for operations.

Local Coordination: Collaborate with HQ and Thailand SSC team for smooth local financial management.

HR Management (in collaboration with Regional HR team): Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate with APAC management and agencies for recruitment and oversee onboarding.

Payroll & Benefits: Review timesheets, process payroll, and manage superannuation payments.

Compliance & Support: Ensure compliance with employment regulations, conduct audits, and provide HR support to managers.

Local HR Focus: Provide expertise on local employment regulations, HR processes, and payroll administration.

Required Qualification: International degree in Business Administration or Accounting (ideally audit, taxation and controlling) 4-6 year work experience (ideally international company / group - Finance department) Advanced accounting knowledge and familiarity with monthly / annual accounts, as well as external addressees, e.g. auditors, tax consultants. Experience in operational Finance, Marketing and Sales controlling. Project management experience (management function). Advanced knowledge of SAP (CO, COPA, Business Warehouse) and Hyperion. Leadership experience & Intercultural competence Language proficient in English Practical accounting knowledge, ideally, auditors knowledge.
