Job Description

As a Product Owner you will be responsible for maximizing the value of the product by translating business and customer needs into clearly defined, prioritized backlog items—with a strong focus on artificial intelligence–driven capabilities. You will work closely with Delivery Teams, data and AI practitioners, and business stakeholders to guide the conception, delivery, and evolution of products that embed AI responsibly, effectively, and at scale.

This role requires not only strong Agile Product Ownership skills, but also practical experience working with AI tools, understanding AI use cases, and supporting the implementation of AI into enterprise products or platforms. You will act as the bridge between business outcomes, user needs, and AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, communicate, and continuously refine the Product Goal, with clear alignment to AI-driven outcomes and business value.
  • Own and maintain a visible, transparent, and prioritized Product Backlog, balancing AI initiatives with core product maintenance and strategic investments.
  • Define, measure, and track business value delivered by AI-enabled features, including efficiency gains, automation, customer experience improvements, or decision support.
  • Collaborate with AI, data science, and engineering teams to shape AI use cases into well-defined epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and Definitions of Done.
  • Translate AI concepts (e.g., model capabilities, limitations, confidence levels, human-in-the-loop needs) into understandable product requirements for delivery teams and stakeholders.
  • Review and evaluate AI-powered features as they are developed, providing feedback on usability, accuracy, performance, and alignment with user needs.
  • Ensure AI solutions are implemented responsibly, considering explainability, transparency, bias mitigation, and data privacy in partnership with technical and governance teams.
  • Actively participate as a core member of the Agile Team, attending and contributing to all Scrum events (planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives, daily stand-ups as needed).
  • Drive backlog refinement by writing clear, precise user stories—particularly for complex AI-enabled workflows or decision-support features.
  • Identify and manage dependencies across teams, especially where AI capabilities are shared across products or platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience required.
  • 6 or more years’ experience as a Product Owner with Agile facilitation background, working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Ability to write clear precise Scrum user stories for scrum teams
  • Must have a bias for action and be comfortable in an ever changing or ambiguous environment
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum@Scale
  • Product Innovation, Design thinking and/or CX/UX experience is a plus
  • Advanced Agile/ Scrum development background
  • Familiarity in working in a SaaS environment
  • PSM/PSPO OR SAFe POPM certifications preferred
