Position Summary
broadhead is seeking an experienced and strategic Performance Marketing Supervisor to serve as an emerging business leader for both clients and the agency. In this role, you will own performance marketing strategy and execution across multiple clients, building and managing integrated plans that directly drive business and creative outcomes. You are the subject matter expert across performance channels and a confident advocate for performance marketing programs in both client and internal conversations.
As Performance Marketing Supervisor, you lead by shaping ideas, navigating systems and processes, and powering your clients' performance programs forward. You develop and manage strategic budgets aligned to client KPIs, proactively identify growth opportunities, and ensure measurable impact across paid and organic search, paid social, website, and e-commerce initiatives.
You instill confidence in clients and colleagues through clear, persuasive communication and the ability to interpret feedback, "read the room", and pivot in real time. You are comfortable recommending when clients should scale investment up or down based on performance insights and business conditions. You are naturally curious and committed to staying ahead of emerging best practices in performance marketing. You embrace testing and experimentation, take calculated risks, and are eager to explore new platforms and tools-quickly building expertise and applying insights to drive stronger results.
Essential Functions
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Ownership & Business Leadership
- Independently build tactical budgets and integrated performance strategies aligned to client KPIs and business goals.
- Own performance marketing activations across paid search, e-commerce, SEO, paid social, display, YouTube, and Performance Max.
- Directly influence business outcomes by aligning media investment with measurable ROI.
- Serve as the performance marketing subject matter expert on assigned accounts.
- Confidently advocate for performance marketing recommendations, including scaling investment or shifting strategy when appropriate.
- Define KPIs and measurement frameworks that clearly connect media performance to broader business objectives.
Client Leadership & Communication
- Act as the face of the performance marketing department in tactical and client meetings.
- Present performance insights and strategic recommendations in a compelling, persuasive, and relevant way.
- Answer client questions confidently and in real time.
- Proactively interpret client feedback and take appropriate action.
- Create opportunities to strengthen relationships with clients, vendor partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Independently lead client conversations with account team approval.
Cross-Functional & Process Leadership
- Collaborate closely with media planners to develop fully integrated paid media strategies.
- Partner across strategy, media, creative, PR, social, and analytics teams to ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Identify roadblocks before they occur and proactively problem-solve across teams.
- Participate in building and refining processes that improve efficiency and effectiveness across departments.
- Navigate internal systems and workflows to power projects forward.
Team Development & Cultural Impact
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and strategic oversight to junior team members as needed.
- Support the development and growth of team members through coaching and feedback.
- Serve as a resource and leader for performance marketing team members.
- Contribute to strategic and cultural impact through bold idea generation and creative problem solving.
Innovation & Growth
- Identify new platform opportunities, vendor partnerships, and activation ideas that drive incremental growth.
- Contribute confidently to new business pitches and RFPs.
- Champion emerging tools, automation, and AI technologies (including Butter) to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay current on industry best practices, platform updates, and measurement advancements.
Experience
- 6+ years of experience in paid search and performance marketing.
- Proven ability to independently build budgets and performance strategies aligned to business KPIs.
- Demonstrated experience managing integrated, multi-channel performance programs.
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members.
- Advanced knowledge of Google Ads, Merchant Center, SEO strategy, paid social platforms, and analytics tools.
- Experience with Skai and/or other enterprise ad management platforms preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Ability to translate data into persuasive business recommendations.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $83,000. Our employees are eligible for a full package of traditional benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. We are a hybrid work company (3 days/week in-office, 2 days/week remote is a typical week at broadhead) with Paid Time Off, paid holidays, and 401(k) matching. In addition, we provide paid parental leave, performance-based bonuses, employee stipends, and gym access. Employees can receive employer contributions to HSAs, FSAs, and Student Loan Debt Repayment benefits.
