Job Description:
Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) is looking for a passionate and driven People and Culture Coordinator to join our collaborative HR Operations team and help shape a positive employee experience across the organisation.

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity until early February 2027 to play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support within a purpose-driven organisation. As a People and Culture (P&C) Coordinator, you’ll be the go-to person for employees and leaders, helping to create a seamless and positive employee experience.
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Act as a trusted first point of contact, providing clear and practical advice on employee relations matters using our HR ticketing system
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and maintaining accurate personnel records
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including HR systems enhancements and process optimisation
- Support key people initiatives such as HR audits, staff engagement surveys, and recognition programs
- Partner closely with HR Advisors, Business Partners, and wider P&C teams to deliver impactful outcomes
- Generate HR reports, including compliance insights, and engagement data

What we are looking for:
We’re seeking someone who is not only capable, but genuinely motivated to contribute to meaningful work and make a difference.
You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar HR or administrative role
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (such as PageUp) and Ticketing systems (such as Jira/Fresh Service)
- Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and sound judgement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders
