Beauty Systems Group, branded as Cosmo Prof or Armstrong McCall stores, along with its direct sales consultants, sell professionally branded products intended for use and resale by salons to retail consumers. This position is hybrid reporting into our Support Center at Legacy West in Plano Texas 3 days a week.
Primary Duties

Develop, manage, and implement procurement and sourcing strategies across assigned categories to ensure effective and efficient delivery of products and services.

Identify and execute cost‑effective sourcing solutions and maintain strong contractual and performance‑based relationships with vendors and service providers.

Lead the development and application of category management practices aligned with industry standards.

Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships, conduct spend and savings analysis, and drive total cost‑of‑ownership optimization within each category.

Partner with internal business partners and leadership to design and execute procurement strategies that support broader organizational objectives.

Provide financial reporting, track cost‑savings initiatives, and manage supplier onboarding for procurement‑related projects.

Adapt to evolving business needs by anticipating challenges, developing solutions, and leading initiatives to successful implementation.

Manage complete contract process with negotiations, redlines to contract signature. Work with business area, legal and vendor partner for contract completion.
Qualifications
-
5-7 years of procurement, sourcing, or category management experience.

Proven experience managing supplier relationships, conducting spend analysis, and overseeing sourcing initiatives.

Demonstrate ability to develop and execute category strategies based on industry best practices.

Experience managing complex, cross functional, high spend RFPs with internal stakeholders

Strong negotiation skills with experience managing contracts, RFPs, and vendor performance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present leadership.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.

Experience using procure‑to‑pay (P2P) systems and procurement analytics tools.

Ability to anticipate business needs, solve problems proactively, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Working conditions & physical requirements
Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday and Friday
The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.
While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety precautions. These precautions, typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences, or commercial vehicles, include using safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, ensuring the safety and comfort of our associates.
