PCB Designer (Remote After Initial Onboarding)
Location: Cleveland, OH (Onsite Training) → Fully Remote Travel: Must be within driving distance of Cleveland for occasional meetings and design reviews

Are you an experienced PCB Designer who enjoys tackling complex, high-speed board designs across a variety of industries? We"re looking for a senior-level PCB professional to join a collaborative engineering team focused on developing innovative electronic products for diverse applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment where every project presents a new technical challenge. You"ll work closely with electrical, hardware, and mechanical engineers while owning critical aspects of PCB layout, library management, design reviews, and manufacturing documentation.
Remote Work Structure
To ensure a successful transition and integration with the engineering team, candidates will complete approximately two months of onsite onboarding and training in Cleveland, Ohio. Following this initial onboarding period, the position transitions to a fully remote work arrangement, with only occasional travel to Cleveland for design reviews, planning meetings, or team events as needed.
Candidates should reside within reasonable driving distance of the Cleveland area.
What You"ll Do
- Design and develop PCB layouts for new and existing electronic products
- Create reliable, manufacturable, and high-performance multilayer circuit board designs
- Manage and maintain PCB component libraries, including creation, validation, and approval of new components
- Lead PCB design reviews and provide guidance on signal integrity, crosstalk mitigation, and high-speed design best practices
- Collaborate with electrical, hardware, and mechanical engineers throughout the product lifecycle
- Evaluate and qualify electronic components for performance, reliability, and cost targets
- Develop manufacturing documentation, including schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, and PCBA documentation
- Prepare project estimates and support design planning activities
- Stay current with PCB materials, stack-up strategies, manufacturing processes, and emerging design techniques
- Communicate directly with customers to gather requirements and incorporate feedback into designs
Required Qualifications

10+ years of PCB design and layout experience

Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer, PADS, or Xpedition
-
Extensive experience designing multilayer PCB layouts for complex electronic products

Experience with high-speed PCB designs and boards with 8+ layers

Strong understanding of:

Signal integrity

Crosstalk mitigation

High-speed routing techniques

PCB manufacturing best practices

Experience managing PCB component libraries

Ability to work directly with clients and engineering stakeholders

Proven success supporting multiple projects, products, or industries simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing complex boards with 24+ layers
- Familiarity with Xpedition design environments
- Consulting or product development experience supporting multiple customers
- Knowledge of PCB materials, stack-up optimization, and manufacturing processes
- Experience creating schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, and production documentation
- Strong communication and technical presentation skills
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $52.89/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
