Description
Farnsworth Group is seeking an OSP Project Manager in one of the posting locations below. Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as a part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects.
Posting Locations for this role: Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX; Charlotte, NC; or St. Louis, MO
What You'll Do:
- Manage client relationships and projects.
- Support development of proposals, including project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Complete design and posting of telecommunications projects.
- Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications.
- Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Oversee work completed by technical and professional production staff.
- Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc.
- Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits, which may include overnight travel.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum of 4 years of OSP design experience.
- Experience in all aspects of Legal Mandate, IFP, Fiber Overbuild, FTTH, or LightGIG projects, including field data gathering, design, and permitting.
- Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently whether in the office, field, or remotely.
Nice To Haves:
- Supervisory experience in OSP engineering design or construction.
- Experience in surveying or utility locating.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Bachelor's or Associate degree a plus.
- Degree in Engineering or related field a plus.
