Job Description:

  • Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
  • Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
  • Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate with others in an effective manner that facilitates problem solving, interacts in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner. [Required]• Ability to explain nutrition related queries and have sound understanding of all the related terms. [Required]• May coordinate with the dietician on the diet needs. [Required]• Good listening skills and communication skills. [Required]• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English and understand food service terms. [Required]• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. [Required]• Have the ability to utilize FIFO method and label and date food correctly. [Preferred]

• High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]
