Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Area Director for a nationally recognized health-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research, advocacy, patient support, and community engagement. This is a remote opportunity supporting a multi-state territory across the Northeastern United States. Candidates must reside within the designated region.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Area Director serves as a senior fundraising and operations leader responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening community engagement, and supporting organizational impact across a multi-state territory. This role provides strategic oversight of fundraising initiatives, staff leadership, volunteer engagement, and donor development efforts while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and goals. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and results-oriented leader with a passion for mission-driven work and building high-performing teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead fundraising strategy and operational execution across a multi-state territory to achieve revenue and organizational goals
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and manage high-performing fundraising and program staff
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, volunteers, and community stakeholders
  • Partner with organizational leadership to implement innovative fundraising campaigns, engagement initiatives, and growth strategies
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, risk management standards, and operational best practices

  • Demonstrated success leading nonprofit fundraising initiatives and diversified revenue strategies
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a collaborative environment
