Job Description:
Do you enjoy helping people who have fallen on hard times? In the Member Solutions Counselor role,
You'll be responsible for:
- Keeping open lines of communication with delinquent members for early intervention counseling.
- Working closely with investor credit unions and maintaining positive working relationships with their collection staff.
- Using your problem-solving abilities to tackle any issues head-on, keeping all parties informed as necessary as you work toward resolutions.
- Making daily outbound calls to review members' financial status and develop workable repayment arrangements.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Be creative in your approach to developing appropriate resolutions that meet the requirements of all parties involved.
- Learn other areas of the mortgage default space to expand your knowledge and drive your career path forward.
- Confidently make quick decisions.
- Use sympathy to deescalate situations swiftly.
- Display your grit and perseverance during challenging situations.
You'll have:
- A minimum of 1 year of collections or customer service experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, aiding your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-driven environment.
- Working knowledge of FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and loss mitigation guidelines.
