Marketing Manager – Fitzroy Street
At Australian Venue Co., we don’t just run venues - we create experiences. With a portfolio of iconic pubs, bars, and entertainment spaces across Australia and New Zealand, we’re continuing to invest in growth, innovation, and industry-leading hospitality.
We’re now looking for a Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution across two of Melbourne’s most iconic venues - Hotel Esplanade (The Espy) and Prince of Wales.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager ANZ, this role is responsible for driving the strategic direction, brand presence, and commercial performance of the Fitzroy Street precinct.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance strategy, creativity, and execution - leading a small team while partnering closely with venue and operational stakeholders.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring both venues continue to thrive as market leaders through data-led campaigns, strong brand positioning, and exceptional customer engagement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and execute marketing strategies across Hotel Esplanade & Prince of Wales
- Use data and insights (e.g. DOMO, Lexer, Power BI) to drive performance and decision-making
- Deliver campaigns that drive revenue, foot traffic, and customer engagement
- Oversee and mentor a small marketing team
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and campaign performance
- Collaborate with venue operators to align marketing with commercial goals
- Ensure consistent and compelling brand storytelling across all channels
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a Marketing Manager or Senior Marketing role
- Strong background in hospitality, entertainment, or lifestyle brands (highly desirable)
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
- Exceptional copywriting and communication skills
- A natural leader with strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong planning, organisation, and project management capability
Technical Skills
- Meta Business Manager, Google Suite, CMS/CRM platforms
- Campaign performance tracking & reporting tools
- Budget management and financial acumen
Why Join AVC?
- Work across iconic, high-profile Melbourne venues
- Be part of a growing national hospitality group
- Autonomy to shape strategy and make real impact
- Hybrid working model (7 office days / 3 WFH per fortnight)
- Collaborative, fast-paced, and supportive team culture
About You
You’re commercially minded, creative, and driven by results. You bring energy, resilience, and a genuine passion for hospitality — and you’re ready to take ownership of a high-impact portfolio.
If you’re looking to step into a role where you can truly own the marketing direction of iconic venues, we’d love to hear from you.
