Job Description:
Marketing Data Analyst
Location: Irvine, California (Remote)
Duration: 12-month Contract
Pay Rate: $45/hr.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Data Analyst to support content performance tracking, reporting, and insights development for social content and channel optimization initiatives. This role will contribute to elevating insights across earned, owned, and user-generated social content. This position involves turning data into actionable strategies and collaborating across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Own focused reporting across major release roadmap moments.
- Regularly construct and maintain advanced Boolean topic queries.
- Design, build, and maintain social data dashboards.
- Ensure program KPIs are integrated into reporting outputs and performance goals are socialized across franchise groups.
- Partner with the analyst team to ensure overall deliverable quality and reporting is rooted in tangible, quantitative insights.
- Understand data analytics, including strong indicators and KPIs for performance.
- Analyze owned channel performance, gaming influence, live streaming, and creator development.
- Understand backend social algorithms for community groups.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of data analysis experience in media planning, social media management, or digital marketing analytics/research.
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management.
- Intermediate, active user of Tableau for creating dashboards.
- Advanced user of Boolean logic and complex queries.
- Experience with data sources such as Sprinklr and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Basic proficiency in SQL.
- Deep understanding of the current social and video platform landscape, content archetypes, and community groups.
- Experience with tools like native social analytics platforms and other user-generated content data-focused platforms (e.g., Stream Hatchet, Tubular).
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas.
- Proficient in Microsoft/Google productivity suites (e.g., Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the gaming industry or working with marketing teams in a digital-first environment.
- Familiarity with or experience playing video games from major franchises.
- Educational background in marketing, data analytics, or paid media.
- Experience in data science or statistics.
