Job Description
The Manufacturing Project Execution Engineer - Cobots is responsible for hands-on project execution, deployment, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing automation and related production processes.
This role supports plant and program objectives by leading implementation activities, coordinating cross-functional execution, and delivering practical solutions that improve safety, quality, ergonomics, throughput, and cost performance. The position works closely with manufacturing, controls, process, quality, maintenance, and plant teams to solve problems, standardize best practices, and deliver measurable operational results.
Key Responsibilities

Lead execution of manufacturing automation projects, with a focus on collaborative robots (cobots), that improve safety, quality, ergonomics, throughput, uptime, and cost performance in plant and production applications

Provide hands-on support for project planning, launch execution, troubleshooting, implementation, optimization, and standardization

Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, controls, process, quality, maintenance, and plant teams at engine, transmission, and other sites to deliver measurable operational results

Act as a project lead and problem solver who can plan effectively, execute to aggressive timelines, and quickly pivot as new issues arise.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Industrial)

Experience in manufacturing engineering, automation, project execution, or process improvement
-
Demonstrated technical problem-solving and troubleshooting capability in a production environment

Experience working in cross-functional manufacturing or engineering teams (e.g., operations, maintenance, quality, suppliers)
