What You Will Do:

 

As Manager Ops Consulting, you will be responsible for managing ongoing projects within Coding Business Services department. Specifically, within Professional Billing coding. These projects range from:

  • Pricing edits within billing system

  • Charge build processes

  • Working with database managers

  • Medical coding related tasks and projects.

  • Performing in depth analysis of current billing and coding activity.

  • Performing reviews of documentation as it related to correct coding, both services performed and diagnosis selection.

  • Providing feedback, supporting documentation and suggestions or assistance in implementing accurate and efficient charge capture.

  • Engaging participation will be required in project management activities for assigned new initiatives within the MSO, Health Services Foundation and Health System.

  • Acting as a liaison to providers, clinical associates, and clinical departments related to coding initiatives, changes, coding and billing updates.

  • Assisting department liaisons with coding and compliance issues and attend departmental meetings as requested. Serve as a coding education resource for department leaders and/or providers.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree)

  • 4+ years of experience in medical coding

  • AAPC CPC coding certification


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Knowledge of IDX, Cerner, and AS400 softwares

  • Medical coding knowledge

  • Master’s Degree in related field such as Finance, Accounting, Nursing and Health Care Administration.

 

 

The annual salary range for this position is $59,000.00-$98,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
