Job Description:

Job Summary: The Grants Manager supervises and directs the staff and will oversee grant operations to ensure that goals are met, plan program improvements, and make appropriate reports to funders and stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Provides oversight, direction, and training to all members of project teams, including staff, consultants, and community partners.
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability for project results, resolving any issues and solving problems throughout project life cycle.
  • Partners with stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing.
  • Perform and oversee timely completion of project deliverables, including work related to stakeholder engagement activities and report development.
  • Manages project scope by ensuring changes to scope are documented and approved.
  • Creates a work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task within project.
  • Creates a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed; determine how results will be measured.
  • Tracks and reports project milestones and provides timely status reports to organizational leaders.
  • Communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders, acts as a mediator coach and motivates project team members on a proactive basis to foster the cohesive functioning of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintains timely, effective communications with the department leadership regarding all events or proposed changes which might impact regulatory issues or policies or procedures.
  • Interacts effectively with others within the Hospital District, other outside agencies, and the community.
  • Completes a post-project evaluation to determine how well results are achieved.
  • Develops tools and best practices for project management and execution.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • One of the following qualification groupings is required for this position as indicated below:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health related field or Diploma from a school of nursing.
  • Two (2) plus years of work experience in project management in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Two (2) plus years in a leadership role.

OR

  • Master's Degree in Business or Health related field.
  • One (1) plus years of work experience in project management in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • One (1) plus years in a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) plus years of experience with project management tools and /or software packages.
  • Two (2) plus years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Two (2) plus years of experience in leadership role.
