The Engineering Manager provides leadership and strategic direction for engineering activities, capital projects, and operational initiatives. This role leads internal and external engineering resources, develops technical strategies, and partners across the organization to safely deliver reliable, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Provide strategic and tactical leadership for engineering teams, projects, and business initiatives.

Lead engineering support for capital projects, facility improvements, and operational initiatives.

Develop engineering design strategies, project scopes, cost estimates, and resource plans.

Oversee engineering work performed by internal teams and third-party engineering firms to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Manage engineering resources, budgets, forecasts, and project performance.

Drive workforce planning, employee development, succession planning, and team engagement.
-
Build and maintain strong partnerships with operations, project management, technical services, contractors, and other business stakeholders.

Serve as a technical leader, subject matter expert, and change agent supporting critical business initiatives.

Develop strategies for leveraging internal and external engineering resources to meet evolving business needs.

Ensure all work is executed in accordance with company standards, engineering practices, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Education/Years of Experience:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
-
Minimum of 10 years of engineering, operations, project execution, or related experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience leading projects, engineering teams, or major initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Professional Engineer (PE) certification
-
Experience leading engineering design and project execution activities for capital projects.
-
Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC), engineering standards, and document management systems.
-
Experience managing external engineering consultants and contractor resources.
